Preventing Chronic Disease (PCD) is an electronic peer-reviewed journal published by the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. PCD’s mission is to promote the open exchange of information and knowledge among researchers, practitioners, policy makers and others who strive to improve public health by preventing chronic diseases. PCD’s vision is to be the main forum where professionals and policymakers provide information for research and researchers help professionals and policy makers to improve the health of the population more effectively. Articles focus on prevention and control of chronic diseases and conditions, health promotion and analysis of biological, behavioral, physical and social determinants of health, and its impact on quality of life, morbidity and mortality in all stages of life.
